The open farmland to the north-west blows agricultural dust onto upper-storey glass through the harvest months, and the mature horse chestnuts and oaks along Crofton Lane and Hillhead Road drop leaf and tannin into gutters from late September. Stubbington gutters are also commonly affected by herring-gull nest debris because of proximity to the coast. We clear it properly with vacuum, inspect with a roof-level camera, and rinse the fascias back to bright UPVC.
